How To Choose Between Drawing Or Playing The Piano?

piano rentals

Here at SoCal Pianos, we get all sorts of interesting questions. We enjoy answering them all, so here’s a good one to ponder: how do I choose between drawing (or painting, sketching, etc.) or playing the piano? Well, our first response would be that you can do both! Both require some dexterity with your hands, so it’s not overreaching to think that doing one may help out with the other. There are a few differences. For instance, playing a musical instrument is a more spontaneous activity; you can go sit down at a piano and just tickle the ivories with no plan in mind. Visual art, such as painting and drawing obviously take a little more planning. But like we said earlier, there’s no reason not to do both. That said, one thing we can speak to with confidence is playing the piano. Learning the piano can lead to many years of musical fulfillment. But, like anything else, it appeals to some folks more than others. So, we can give you some advice to help you decide if playing the piano is right for you.

PIANO RENTALS

Learning to play any musical instrument takes time and commitment. This is especially true for piano playing because of the financial commitment. Pianos are not cheap and the decision to purchase one – either used or new – should not be made lightly. One of the things you can do to decide if piano playing is something you are serious about is to test a piano (or several pianos) out. Our customers range from serious players to those just getting started, and one of our specialties is our piano rental program. We offer top-of-the-line acoustic and digital models from all the major manufacturers including Yamaha, Kawai, Kohler & Campbell and others.  Our rental programs start as low as $29 per month, so finding one to fit your budget should be no problem. There are also no limits on rental periods: you can rent month to month or longer, with no pressure. But the best part is that you can sample the piano and see how it feels, how it sounds and if it is the right fit for you. You can also determine your interest level without having to make a substantial financial investment. For more information about our rental program, go to our website at https://pianorentals.com/.
